I cover Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta, Kerobokan, Denpasar, Kedungu, and Uluwatu, and I can stay overnight or do drop-in visits. In-Home Sitting vs Boarding — What's Better?

When you travel, you have two main options: in-home pet sitting (a sitter comes to your home) or boarding (your dog stays at a kennel or pet hotel). Here's why in-home sitting is usually the better choice:

Your dog stays in their familiar environment. No stress from a new place, new smells, unfamiliar dogs, or a different routine. This is especially important for anxious dogs, senior dogs, and rescue dogs who've already been through enough change.

One-on-one attention. At a boarding facility, staff split their time across many dogs. With in-home sitting, your dog gets dedicated care — playtime, cuddles, and companionship on their terms.

Your home is safer. An occupied house deters break-ins. Mail gets collected, plants get watered, lights go on and off — your home looks lived-in the whole time you're away.

No disease exposure. Boarding facilities, even good ones, carry risk of kennel cough, parasites, and stress-related illness. At home, your dog stays healthy.

Dog sitting FAQs

Do you stay overnight at my villa?

Yes, I can stay overnight so your dog has company from evening through morning. If you prefer, I can also do drop-in visits two or three times a day instead. We'll agree the setup at the meet-and-greet.

How often will I get updates?

You get photos or a short video at every visit, plus a written note at the end of each day covering appetite, toilet, and anything I noticed. If anything seems off, I message you right away rather than waiting.

Can you give my dog medication?

Yes. I give pills, eye drops, ear drops, and injectable meds if you show me the exact routine at the meet-and-greet. I log each dose and the time so you can see it was done.

What about my villa security?

I lock up the same way you do, keep gates closed, and don't post your address anywhere. An occupied villa with lights on and mail cleared is safer than an empty one — and I only share access details with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?
I cover all of South Bali: Canggu (Berawa, Batu Bolong, Pererenan), Seminyak, Kuta, Kerobokan (including Umalas), Denpasar, Kedungu, and Uluwatu. Other areas may be available on request.
How do I book?
The easiest way is to message me on WhatsApp. Let me know what service you need, your location, and preferred dates/times. I'll confirm availability right away.
What happens if there's an emergency?
I contact you right away and explain what's going on. If your dog needs a vet, I take them to the clinic we agree on before the booking — or the nearest one if we haven't — and I stay with them until you're back in the loop.
Do you walk multiple dogs at once?
I do solo walks by default — your dog gets my full attention. Dogs from the same household can walk together. I don't do pack walks with dogs from different homes.
What if my dog has special needs?
I have experience with reactive dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and dogs requiring medication. Just let me know your dog's specific needs when booking and I'll tailor the service accordingly.
How much notice do you need?
I try to be as flexible as possible. Same-day bookings are often available. For training sessions, 24-48 hours notice is ideal so I can prepare a plan.

Service Areas

In-home sitting looks a little different depending on where your villa is. In Canggu and Seminyak most sits are in villas with small yards, so I do two or three visits a day plus a walk, or stay overnight if you prefer. In Kerobokan and Denpasar homes are often more enclosed, so I focus on indoor companionship, feeding, and short outdoor breaks. In Kuta visits stay close to home due to traffic. In Kedungu and Uluwatu there's usually more space and yard time, and overnight stays are common for travel periods. Start with dog sitting in Canggu or pick your area below.
