What to expect on a dog walk

  1. 1

    Meeting

I arrive at your villa, leash up, and do a quick check — water bowl, harness fit, any cues you want reinforced that day. We confirm the route based on your dog's energy and the weather.

  2. 2

    Walk

Solo walk, your dog only — beach sprints, rice field paths, or quiet back lanes depending on what they need. I send a photo or short video partway through so you can see how they're doing.

  3. 3

    Report

Your dog comes back exercised, hydrated, and calm — water topped up, paws wiped, a few lines from me on behavior, toilet, and anything I noticed.

Why Choose Professional Dog Walking?

Regular walks keep dogs calmer and less prone to behavioral issues like destructive chewing, excessive barking, or separation anxiety.

Unlike pack-walking services or PetBacker freelancers, every walk with DogCareBali is a solo walk — your dog gets my full attention. I know Canggu's routes well: the quiet rice field paths of Pererenan, the wide sand of Echo Beach at low tide, and the back lanes of Padonan. I also understand Bali's challenges — the midday heat (we walk mornings and late afternoons), street dogs, and the importance of hydration.

Whether your dog is a high-energy Husky who needs a beach sprint or a senior Pug who prefers a slow stroll, the walk is built around them. Same-day bookings are often available for Canggu, Seminyak, and Kerobokan.

Dog walking FAQs

What happens if it rains or the heat is too much?

I walk early morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat, and I carry water for your dog. If it's a heavy downpour I'll shorten the walk or reschedule at no extra cost — you won't be charged for a walk that didn't happen.

How do you handle reactive dogs on walks?

I walk one dog at a time, so there's no pack to trigger reactivity. I keep distance from other dogs and street dogs, use calm body language, and avoid busy areas. If your dog is seriously reactive we'll talk about it at the meet-and-greet and pick a quiet route.

Can you run with my dog instead of walking?

Yes, if your dog is fit and used to it. I'll jog or do beach sprints with high-energy dogs, but only after I've met them and you've confirmed they're healthy enough for it.

Can you reinforce training commands during the walk?

Yes. Tell me which cues you're working on — sit, loose-leash, recall — and I'll practice them on the walk. I use the same positive reinforcement methods so your dog gets consistent messaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you cover?
I cover all of South Bali: Canggu (Berawa, Batu Bolong, Pererenan), Seminyak, Kuta, Kerobokan (including Umalas), Denpasar, Kedungu, and Uluwatu. Other areas may be available on request.
How do I book?
The easiest way is to message me on WhatsApp. Let me know what service you need, your location, and preferred dates/times. I'll confirm availability right away.
What happens if there's an emergency?
I contact you right away and explain what's going on. If your dog needs a vet, I take them to the clinic we agree on before the booking — or the nearest one if we haven't — and I stay with them until you're back in the loop.
Do you walk multiple dogs at once?
I do solo walks by default — your dog gets my full attention. Dogs from the same household can walk together. I don't do pack walks with dogs from different homes.
What if my dog has special needs?
I have experience with reactive dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and dogs requiring medication. Just let me know your dog's specific needs when booking and I'll tailor the service accordingly.
How much notice do you need?
I try to be as flexible as possible. Same-day bookings are often available. For training sessions, 24-48 hours notice is ideal so I can prepare a plan.

Service Areas

I walk dogs across South Bali, with different routes and timing depending on where you live. In Canggu I use the rice field paths of Pererenan and Echo Beach sand at low tide, usually mornings before the heat. In Seminyak and Kerobokan I stick to quiet back lanes away from traffic. In Kuta and Denpasar walks are earlier and shorter due to crowds and heat. In Kedungu and Uluwatu I have more open space and can do longer, cooler walks near the cliffs or beach. Start with dog walking in Canggu or pick your area below.
